Collection Theme- Amaranthine- Everlasting Style by Daniel Syiem S/S 2015
Launching at Fashion International, London Fashion Week
A slow fashion collection, it celebrates the beauty of stepping back and slowing down, thinking about the earth that sustains each of us and celebrating the continuity in nature. The unique use of natural, hand-woven and organic textiles like eri silk, in a mix of a colour palette of natural vegetable dyes like turmeric, violet, ochre, olive, indigo, amaranth, ivory brings the collection alive celebrating the myriad colours of nature. The use of organic fabrics gives the ensembles an earthy sensuality and use of handmade buttons adds interesting detailing. Inspired by the exotic and diverse beauty of North East India it contains beautiful and classy shirts, interesting shirt dresses, jumpsuits, crop shirts and tops, short shorts, clean-cut long dresses, and flare bottom pants etc. Natural accessories made of wood, bamboo and pinecone add a whimsical element. The collection urges you to pause, slow down, smell the roses, connect to Planet Earth and realise its indispensability and do your bit to sustain the environment.
